Branding + UX&UI // ft. Kromosom
My team & I created a case-study consisted of: UX research & mapping, branding, website design, social media content and stickers design, for the LGBTQ+ bar in Aarhus – Kromosom. I was focused mainly on branding & designing.

Problem
No internet website; despite being an all-welcoming place wanting to attract all sorts of people, limited clientage: mostly Danish queer community.
Solution
The internet website, complex branding and social media materials that create values, attract more costumers, widen bar’s target audience, and help the company in getting more recognition on the internet while giving off the atmosphere of the bar in its content.
Research
From the get-go, my team & I knew that this project would require a lot of research. Therefore, we conducted desk research, netnography, and field research (interviews with the owners of the bar as well as attending one of their meetings and interviewing actual clients).

Personas
After the research, it was time to analyze and map. We’ve started from agreeing on the target audience and then moved on to creating personas. In that way we brought to life Emma and Razvan.
Emma is a queer 21-year-old Danish girl who took her gap year from studying. She is in the process of figuring out what her future will look like.
Razvan is a representation of university students. He is a 24-year-old straight Romanian man who is studying Marketing Management. As he is determined to get his work done, he prefers to study in the cafes to have his level of focus improved.

After making a video of a whole bar and getting its blueprints, I’ve created a map with spaces relevant to the customers. The illustration is colour-coded so different spaces, such as bars, sitting places, etc., can be easily distinguished.

Style Tile
Throughout my internship I’ve assisted prior and/or during multiple events and photoshoots (and even starred in one of the video advertisements and was a part of the menu photoshoot!).
Some of the event related tasks included: preparing goodie bags, designing graphics used during the event on in-house TVs, filming social media content on the spot, cooperating with a photographer, engaging with contestants.
